Music: pandora and stuff

I discovered Pandora a couple of years ago while working at the library. It was either Kirsten or Elise that introduced it to me, and since then I have been a huge fan for the most part. I've started listening to it while at work so that I have some sort of background noise to get me through the day. It's nice to get music streaming with no commercials, but there are a few quirks that bug. They only let you skip 6 songs every hour. What if there are 7 bad songs in a row? What do you do? Just listen to the bad song? I won't stand for that, so I just go to another station and come back, and I know you might be thinking, well that isn't a big deal, well guess what, it's not. But it's still annoying.
Anyway, I also don't like that they play Jack Johnson songs about every 3 songs on almost every station. Don't get me wrong, I like Jack Johnson every once and a while, but to listen to him every 8 minutes, not a fan, and no matter how many times I thumb down his songs, they still keep coming up. I'm going to conquer Jack Johnson next week, that's my goal.
Speaking of music, as I listen to the radio and to Pandora, I've come to realize that there are a lot of people who think they can sing that are on the radio, who really can't sing. Like they could probably go to a karaoke bar and the drunk people may clap for them (now I can't really know if this would happen, because I've never been to a karaoke bar, but I can only imagine.) But really, I turn on the radio, and if they aren't singing terribly, they are probably singing about something stupid.
No really, what happened to good music? There is some on the radio, but it is seems that good music is getting harder and harder to find. I may have to go back to the good old oldies...

Slacker

I'm a slacker in most aspects of my life, I figure I might as well not change that by writing on my blog regularly. But it has been a long time so here is an update.
I'm still training for the marathon, and everyday after my run I realize how tired my legs are, and then I don't want to do anything else. Which is pretty convenient, because I don't have anything else to do. So I read, or sit around and help my roommate with homework, or cook. Needless to say, I think I need some new hobbies.
Anyway, work is...well work. And I really can't wait for the summer when it's going to be really busy, and I'm going to be able to get up and do stuff.
I started writing this at work on my break, and am now finishing it at 11:00 p.m and I'm too tired to finish it, so this is all you get. I'll try to be less of a slacker in the future. Check back for more exciting thoughts!
